“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
Leonardo da Vinci
I think we dream because we are designed for adventure. In a way, I think we are designed for flight—to soar, to get elevation, to achieve wonderful things, to be brave enough to be loved, to love others courageously, and, so, literally take flight in our lives. I also believe this is part of our spiritual DNA. There is a code planted in every one of us that wants to dream forward, and upward, just like the ancient proverb says:
Proverbs 15:24 The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind.
This anti-gravity is something that ties us all together as one huge spiritual family. Our dreaming removes us from being known by science under a microscope, because they can't see our dreams. We dream because we are spiritual at our core; we dream because we need to in order to live, and without dreams we die.
I have experienced the death of dreaming, and I have experienced the restoration of heavenly dreaming. If you want to know more, I invite you to join my email community, and I will unlock a private three-part podcast just for you.
